K98 Rubber Muzzle Covers

K98 muzzle covers, all are in good condition, black rubber with a center stem. Made to fit over the muzzle to keep dirt and debris clear of the bore. Originally the muzzle covers were constructed in tooled steel but they proved impractical as the muzzle cap had to be folded back into the open position before the rifle could be fired. This problem was overcome with the introduction of rubber muzzle covers which could be shot off in the case of immediate action. A great edition to your K98 rifle
