These webbing straps saw common usage with snipers and their No.32 scope tins. They are a perfect fit for the tins and are much easier to use when opening the lid than the original leather ones as the web strap tends to slide through the retainers without having to thread the leather straps through each side in order to open the lid. They became popular with snipers and there .303 No.4(T) sniper rifles. The web straps can also be found with the tins used on the L42A1 sniper rifles of 1970's vintage. The web straps are somewhat longer than the original leather straps but this is understandable because they have to be thread through the double buckle to secure them. A scarce but very usable accessory for your No.4(T) or L42A1 sniper rifle. Price is for one strap. The scope tin (Case, Sighting Telescope, No.8) shown in the images is NOT part of the sale - being shown only to illustrate how the strap is a perfect fit for the tin. In the past I have only come across isolated examples of these straps - the opportunity to get one might not happen again - treat yourself whilst you can. Postage USA £6 Australia £9
